Sunset

Mister and I are on holiday right now, in Cabo san Lucas. We're here with Unk, and Ma'am and Papa. Our little Tadpole is at home with his Grandma and Grandpa this week, and he'll be with Grumpy and Granny next week. We miss him SO MUCH, but we're enjoying our adult time too.  

So far, we haven't done much of anything, other than relaxing on the beach. *sigh* I haven't even taken my camera out all that much... but I did catch these quick few from our balcony during a sunset.

Flashback Friday - The Bib

When I was carrying “Slapshot”, our families were all very excited.  But I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that Unk was probably most excited.  He’s always been great with kids and we were excited to be able to give him a little Nephew or Niece.

On Christmas morning in 2007, Slapshot left a present under the tree for Unk.  It was a bib for baby to wear when s/he was out and Unk was babysitting.

I took this picture a few months later.  I think the look on Unk's face says it all...

...And a little while later, he started dating Winnie... seems to me, the bib worked :)

Las Vegas - Neon Boneyard, Pt2

It started on Wordless Wednesday yesterday, but there were far too many images from the Neon Boneyard for just one post.  Here's the 2nd half.  Man, this is just the coolest place...

(And as some of you might have noticed, I've recently become a bit obsessed with textures. I haven't come anywhere near perfecting the art, but lately I'm inspired by the work of Matt Nicolosi and I'm stoked to be learning something new)

Las Vegas

I shot so much in Vegas... I'm at a bit of a loss as to where to start with the photos this week!  My favorite thing, by far, was the Neon Boneyard - but I've decided that I'm going to save those for tomorrow's Wordless Wednesday post (and it's going to be a loooong one!).

Today, I think I'll post my favorite few night-time images.  There aren't a ton of them, but I'm loving the Statue of Liberty. Again. I think next time I go to Vegas I'm going to have to stay at New York New York. 

iheartfaces - Week 43: Balloons

When I saw that "Balloons" was the contest theme at i♥faces this week, I was a bit hesitant.  I don't have any photos of Tadpole with a balloon - he seems to have a bit of problem with helium balloons (they freak him out).  But when our neighbor gave him a balloon for Halloween yesterday, I figured it was worth a shot.

Mister blew it up for him, and we went out to play in the front yard.  Tadpole had a great time... apparently it's just helium balloons that he doesn't like.
